Sophie and Dick acquired their retirement home in Seabrook Beach NH, several years ago and as of December 2002, have moved to the "Live Free or Die" State.

We still have many ties to Ridgecrest CA and will maintain business contacts and frequent visits to the Indian Wells Valley. Sophie is still the owner and operator of SASS and Dick will continue the cultivation of pistachios and native plants at SAAD Farms in Inyokern. SAAD Farms is the residence and headquarters of Ecology Consultants Associated (ECA) that continues to serve the many clients and to do research and advise on the ecological restoration and habitat improvement of disturbed properties.

In the meantime we are spending our retirement in New England and return to the Indian Wells Valley from time to time to attend to the ecosystem restoration projects, the pistachio harvest and the cultivation of native plants for the restoration of abandoned or the rehabilitation of disturbed lands throughout the high desert. Sophie attends to the business affairs of SASS on a daily basis through Janis Bottorff via the internet and telephone, and, when necessary, will travel back to Ridgecrest.

We enjoy the New Hampshire life style (been spending most summers and some winters here since 1975) and look forward to long walks on the beach with our retired greyhounds.
